I Am Not Your Animal is a visual testimony of the living conditions of Sierra Leonean domestic workers stranded in Lebanon. Victims of human trafficking and modern slavery, these women try to survive in Beirut in the hope of being being able to return to their country one day. By juxtaposing images of everyday life and epistolary exchanges, the series reveals the weight of the ineffable, between joy and pain, hope and guilt, exile and sisterhood
